Keep the space of the line-break note under the image box.
An invisible copy of the note sits under the image box, so the page
does not jump when the tabs change.

Give the image box the size of the story editor.
The box is 450px wide and 337px high, as the editor is. On phones it
takes the full width and the editor's height with a wrapped toolbar.

Require a captcha for visitor submissions and for login.
Without the form field, the check was skipped. A solved captcha lasts
30 minutes in the session.
